It took a while before I dared (and before I wanted) to paint this cabinet. Every time I tried to start this little project I suddenly did not know which colour I would like to give it. And if I felt like painting. And if it wouldn’t be better to simply sell it, so I did not have to deal with all this. π
But then it was Saturday and I was a little bored. I got some pink paint, put some music on and started painting. It wasn’t that bad at all! Unfortunately I did not really adore the color… Then I remembered I still had some leftover paint in a nice colour in the basement (remember our nude living room wall?). Wall paint is ideal to use on wood right? Since I was already blending all kinds of paint I mixed it with some white Annie Sloan chalk paint and created a sweet pink shade.
With every coat of paint I fell in love with my cabinet deeper and deeper. It started to look so cute! Simon really loved the colour as well (ahem), which meant the cabinet moved to the bedroom. I placed it next to my wooden crates for my shoes, to create a really girly corner. π
Wauw, wat is dat kastje mooi geworden zeg! Die foto bewaar ik op mijn Pinterestbord π
